Service Manager

The Service Manager is a tool included in the EZ2000 Plus Dental application folder.  It is used to manage installation of all EZ2000 Plus Dental services.

First, locate the EZ2000 Plus Dental application folder. Depending on how EZ2000 Plus Dental was installed click on ServiceManager.exe to open.

The list will be populated by all installed EZ2000 PlusDental services. 

Each folder has the exact contents of the EZ2000 Plus Dental application folder with a unique FreeDentalConfig.xml file.  FreeDentalConfig.xml file is how each service determines which database it is processing messages for.  See HL7 for information about how a connection to the database is established using this configuration file.

Add/Edit a Service
1.  To install a new EZ2000 Plus Dental service, click Add. To modify an existing installed service, double click it. It is highly recommended that you do not do this without the assistance of the support team at EZ2000 Plus dental Software

2.  Enter or choose the Service Name.
3.  Click Browse and select a supported service executable. 
4.  Click Install.  If the install is successful the status will change from 'Not installed' to 'Installed, Stopped'. 
5.  Click Start.  The status will change to 'Installed, Running'.
