Bridge - BioPAK BioPak website: www.bioresearchinc.com To activate the bridge, in the Main Menu, click Setup, Program Links. Double click on BioPAK in the list. Check the Enabled box, verify the Path of file to open, and review the Additional Properties. Click OK. You will now have a button in your Chart module labeled 'BioPAK'. When using the bridge, if the patient number cannot be found, then a new patient is created. If this is not what you wanted, then you should edit the record in BioPAK, changing the patient identifier to match that in EZ PLUS Dental. If the number does exist in BioPAK, then it also looks at the patient name information. If the name exactly matches, then the patient record opens in BioPAK. If the name does not exactly match, then it will give you an error that the patient already exists. If you get this error, edit the record in BioPAK. Ensure that the patient name exactly matches, including capitalization. Technical Details Option Meaning Fields should not be surrounded by double quotes. Special characters are allowed in the fields, but spaces are not. Because of this, the bridge will probably malfunction if a patient name has spaces. This will be resolved once we build the internal bridge. If both are specified and the patient name and number do not match, BioPAK will display an error message. If no patient record is found that matches the information in the command line options, a new patient record is created.
