CallFire - Text Messaging Setup

Text messages (SMS) can be sent to patients' phones using the CallFire Cloud Call Center gateway.  Foreign customers cannot use CallFire. 

Before you can send text messages,you must setup CallFire. There are two main steps.
1. Set Up a Cloud Call Center account.
2. Setup the Callfire Program Link in EZ 2000 Dental.

To login to your Cloud Call Center account, go to http://legacy.callfire.com.

Open Dental uses CallFire's Cloud Call Center service. This is different than their typical service. To make sure you sign up for the correct service, follow the steps below.
1.  Sign up for a Cloud Call Center account at https://legacy.callfire.com/dialer/signup.do

2. Acquire Your API Key:  In CallFire, go to Settings, Account Settings, scroll down to API Key, and enter your company name and the word "Exempt," then click Submit.

Scroll down to the new API Key and copy it. You will use this key when setting up the CallFire Program Link (see below).

3. Add Minutes to your account.  You must add at least 150 minutes to sign up.  Click Billing Manager, Add Funds, then make a deposit into your account. (A $10 deposit will put you above this threshold.)

4. Setup the CallFire Program Link (see below).

1. In the Main Menu, click Setup, Program Links, then double click on CallFire.

2. Check the Enabled box. 

3. Double click on Key From CallFire in the Additional Properties grid, and enter your CallFire API key.

4. Click OK.
