Text Messages

Text Messages can be used to contact patients about appointments, confirmations, or other matters. This is a great internal marketing tool.  EZ2000 Plus Dental bridges with numerous companies to send text messages.  

To send messages, on the Patient Edit window, a wireless cell number must be entered, and Yes must be selected for Text Messages. To send batch confirmation text messages, customized with names, appointment times, and dates, see Confirmation List

Send Individual Text Messages
On the main Toolbar or the Edit Appointment window, click Text.

Phone Number:  This will be automatically filled with the patient's wireless cell phone number as entered on the Patient Edit window.

Text Message:  Enter the message. If you are sending the message from the Edit Appointment window, the default Text Confirmation message defined in Recall and Confirmation Setup will appear, but it can be edited.

Do not use carriage returns (press Enter), or the message will be cutoff at the carriage return when the message is sent.  Bear in mind that text messages have a 160 character limit.

Click Send to send the message.
