Claim Types

When creating a Claim, there are five claim type options: New Claim, Primary, Secondary, Medical, Other. The table below describes the actions that happen when a user clicks a New Claim option.

Dental Dental	Two claims are created (except in Canada only the primary is created). Some settings can be manually changed. Users are also not blocked from manually changing the secondary plan on a claim, though this could result in the e-claim sending "secondary" claim information that is inconsistent with the situations listed in the table.

Claim Type Other
When a patient has three or more dental insurance plans, click Other.

Select the dental insurance plan and the patient's relationship to subscriber, then click OK.
