Claim Types 

When creating a Claim, there are five claim type options: New Claim, Primary, Secondary, Medical, Other. The table below describes the actions that happen when a user clicks a New Claim option.

Dental Dental

Two claims are created (except in Canada only the primary is created).

Primary claim:

Some settings can be manually changed. Users are also not blocked from manually changing the secondary plan on a claim, though this could result in the e-claim sending "secondary" claim information that is inconsistent with the situations listed in the table.

Claim Type Other
When a patient has three or more dental insurance plans, click Other.

  

Select the dental insurance plan and the patient's relationship to subscriber, then click OK.
