Family Module Setup 

It is recommended nthat you set up your module settings prior to using the program. Here you can set default options and settings for the Family module. Check a box to turn a feature on; uncheck a box to turn it off.

In the Main Menu, click Setup, Modules.  Click the Family tab.

InsPlan option at bottom, 'Change Plan for all subscribers', is default:  This option should normally be checked.  It will cause the Change Plan for All subscribers radio button on the Edit Insurance Plan window to always be checked by default.  If this radio button is unchecked, each change to an Insurance Plan will spawn a new plan.  This is described in more detail under Insurance Plan Information on the Insurance Plan page.

Insurance defaults to PPO percentage instead of category percentage plan type:  Select the default Plan Type when you create a new Insurance Plan.  When unchecked, the default plan type is category percentage.  When checked, the default is PPO percentage.  This is useful for offices that see mostly PPO.

Co-pay fee schedules treat blank entries as zero:  Select how blank co-pay entries are handled.  See PPO.

Insurance plans default to show UCR fee on claims: By default check the 'Claims show UCR fee, not billed fee' box on the Edit Insurance Plan window.

Coordination of Benefits (COB) Rule: Select the default COB Rule selected on the Edit Insurance Plan window.  See COB.

Text Msg OK status, treat ?? as No instead of Yes:  Set the value of ?? for Text OK on the Patient Edit window to No, and thus disable Text buttons for this patient.  If unchecked, when a patient has ?? as their status, you will still be able to send Text Messages to them.
